Chairman of the Board of Hasvet A.Ş., Veterinarian Hidayet Şimşek, was born in 1979 in Isparta. He graduated from Şarkikaraağaç Veterinary Health Vocational High School and then continued his education at Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, graduating as a veterinarian in 2000. He completed his master’s degree in 2018 at Antalya Bilim University, graduating from the MBA program. Between 1996 and 2002, he worked as a government officer at Ardahan Göle District Agriculture Directorate, and between 2002 and 2004, he served as a veterinary teacher at the Veterinary High School. After leaving public service, he worked as a clinical veterinarian and went on to establish Hasvet Medical Limited Company in 2009.
Hasvet Medical was established in 2009 for the import and sale of medical devices. In 2012, E-vet Software A.Ş. and in 2015, Safir Surgical Instruments A.Ş. were founded and began operating under the umbrella of Hasvet A.Ş.
Hidayet Şimşek has achieved numerous successes and projects aimed at the development of the sector and livestock farming in Turkey. His Datavet project was awarded the Process Innovation Award in 2017 as part of the ATSO Innovation Year competition.
In addition to these achievements: He introduced brands like VINDINO, focusing on the production of industrial veterinary clinical equipment, PI FARMA and FDN for veterinary pharmaceuticals production, FI PETFOOD for pet food production, and VET-MIM for turnkey veterinary clinic solutions, to the veterinary profession.
With Hasvet Academy and Vettalks organizations, he continues to support continuous education in veterinary medicine. He also established Hasvet RATEM (Radiology Diagnosis and Training Center), which includes areas for MR, CT, ultrasonography, lithotripsy, hemodiafiltration, EEG-EMG, pathology, endoscopy, radiography, laboratory, and practical training, offering services to veterinarians.
Aiming to expand services beyond his country and create added value, Hidayet Şimşek founded Hasvet Baku International Animal Hospital, which has gained the status of a regional hospital in Azerbaijan, laying the foundations of the veterinary health ecosystem he established in Turkey, abroad. Additionally, to expand the Hasvet ecosystem into Europe, he opened the Germany office based in Hessen.
Today, Hasvet A.Ş. holds an 85% market share in the veterinary medical field and a 95% market share in veterinary software in Turkey. Hasvet A.Ş. was ranked 40th, and later 34th, among the "Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Turkey for Three Consecutive Years" by the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, which consists of 1,200,000 companies.
Veterinarian Hidayet Şimşek, married with two children, is the Vice Chairman of the Pet Food Association (PETFA), a member of the Veterinary Drug Manufacturers Association (VİSAD), a member of the Antalya Young Businessmen Association (ANTGİAD), and a representative of the Health Working Group of the Antalya City Council. He continues to invest in raising the standards of the veterinary sector both domestically and internationally.
